CAPE WRATH RANGE

 

Notice from Defence Training Estate Scotland that military aircraft are programmed to conduct aerial bombardment on Cape Wrath range (Garvie Island (an Gardh-Eilean) on the following dates: 5 to 9 march 2007 and 12 to 16 march 2007 and a ground live firing exercise 26 to 30 March 2007

When the range is active, red flags will be flown and sentries stationed on the Cape Wrath road. Information on times of opening and closing of the road may be obtained by telephoning the Cape Wrath range information helpline: free phone 0800-833300. Additional information can be found on the website at www.rnopsscotland.com.   Any inconvenience or delay caused to the public is regretted and will be kept to a minimum.

 

Hall Quiz

 

A family quiz night was held in aid of village hall funds last Saturday. Seven teams with adult and children ranging in members for 4 to seven took part. Quiz mater Graham Bruce kept the proceedings in order and the ladies form the dancing group provided refreshments and home baking. A successful evening raising £150 was had by all.
