Lotte Glob
During the making of a new television programme with a working title of
Mountains Lotte Glob was visited by a production team to be interviewed about
her ceramic art and her connection with the environment. Danish born Lotte has
been Living and working in the Far Northern Highlands of Scotland for the past
thirty five years, Her work has an identity with nature. Walking through this
vast wilderness for days - often sleeping on top of mountains - to find a place
for a sculpture is an experience full of endless sources of inspiration and
inevitably leads to new ideas in her work.
Griff Rhys Jones; performer, writer, director, comedian and active
conservationist; is currently working on a programme to be screened in 2007. He
interviewed Lotte about her work and inspiration of the Highland mountains. In
1999 Soren Ryge Petersen - Danish TV feature film producer made a 2 part
documentary about Lotte that brought her a great deal of recognition and has a
regular stream of visitors to see her work.
Griff Rhys Jones is best known for his TV work, most notably for Book Worm and
the comedy sketch shows Not The Nine O'Clock News, as well as Smith and Jones.
